Bredtvet School was originally built for pupils with hearing problems. As a well thought out project Riksantikvaren decided to list all facades, grade 1, and parts of the interiors. The refurbishment has included rebuilding the school for pupils with socio-emotional problems. The emphasize has been on designing functional classrooms for subjects like food and health, carpentry work, art and music. The school has around 40 pupils and 40 teaching staff.
