The commission included 26 care homes as well as a local healthcare center and refurbishment of adjoining areas to the existing building. With spectacular surrounding views it was important to position as many of the communal rooms as possible towards the views.. A separate outdoor space, a more private relaxing space, is created between the existing care homes and the new extension. The exterior has vertical pine cladding with a smooth homogeneous surface and enhances the protruding window profiles and gives the exterior both depth and variety.
